Neocaridina davidi originates from freshwater streams and slow-moving rivers throughout East Asia.

Their natural resilience and adaptability are one of the reasons they perform exceptionally well in established tap water aquariums.

❄️ The Goal Behind Snowstorm

Snowstorm is a selectively bred white line developed with one objective:

Maximum opacity.

Many white shrimp remain partially translucent throughout their lives, which can create a washed-out appearance.

True Snowstorms instead develop a dense, porcelain-like body that blocks much of the internal transparency normally seen in Neocaridina.

👀 Why the Orange Eyes Matter

The orange eye mutation creates one of the most striking contrasts found in freshwater shrimp.

Against a dense white body, the bright orange eyes become a focal point that immediately draws attention.

This combination gives Snowstorm a clean, elegant appearance unlike any other colour variety.
