Orange Sakura White Eyes (*Neocaridina davidi*) is one of our ongoing breeding projects, combining warm orange pigmentation with the unusual contrast of bright white eyes.
🟡 While currently classified as Orange Sakura, many individuals are already expressing traits that push towards the more intense Orange Sunkist phenotype.
🧬 Through careful selective breeding, we are gradually strengthening body saturation and colour consistency while maintaining the robust nature of Neocaridina.
These are hardy, rewarding shrimp that perform exceptionally well in established tap water aquariums.

🌏 The Evolutionary Roots of Neocaridina
Neocaridina davidi originates from freshwater streams, ponds and slow-moving rivers throughout East Asia.
Over thousands of years, these shrimp adapted to moderately hard, mineral-rich waters and developed remarkable resilience to environmental fluctuations.
💡 This natural adaptability is one of the reasons Neocaridina thrive so well in established tap water aquariums.
🟡 What Makes This Line Special?
Orange Sakura White Eyes combines two attractive traits:
🟠 Warm orange body pigmentation
⚪ Bright white eyes
The contrast creates a very distinctive appearance that immediately stands out in planted aquariums.
🧪 An Active Breeding Project
Unlike some of our more established lines, this project is still actively evolving.
Our long-term goal is to gradually push this line towards a stronger Orange Sunkist-like phenotype while retaining the unusual white eye mutation.
Many individuals already display deeper orange saturation than traditional Orange Sakura shrimp.
Over successive generations, we continue selecting for:
