GARNELEN4YOU® Walnut Sticks
GARNELEN4YOU® Walnut Sticks are a natural complementary food made from 100% pure walnut leaves, gently dried and processed without fillers, preservatives or unnecessary chemical additives.
Developed as part of the GARNELEN4YOU® range by biologist and shrimp breeder Dr. Philipp T. Baumann, walnut leaves naturally contain tannins, terpenoids, flavonoids, humic substances, unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin C. These plant compounds are valued for supporting shrimp vitality, normal immune function and a stable biological environment in the aquarium.
The aromatic sticks are readily accepted by Neocaridina and Caridina shrimp, crayfish and aquarium snails. They soften gradually, allowing several animals to graze from the same portion.
Feeding guide: Feed approximately 1 cm of stick for every 20 adult shrimp every 1–2 days, alternating with other GARNELEN4YOU® foods. Walnut Sticks add variety but should not permanently replace the main-food range.
Composition: 100% walnut leaves
Pack size: 50 g

More Information
A natural walnut-leaf snack for shrimp
GARNELEN4YOU® Walnut Sticks are a pure single-ingredient complementary food made from brown-dried walnut leaves.
Walnut leaves have long been used in shrimp keeping because they provide both a natural grazing food and a range of beneficial plant compounds. The sticks offer an easy, clean way to add this ingredient to the diet of Neocaridina and Caridina shrimp, crayfish and aquarium snails.
Naturally rich in secondary plant compounds
Walnut leaves naturally contain:
tannins;
terpenoids;
flavonoids;
humic substances;
unsaturated fatty acids;
vitamin C.
The manufacturer describes these compounds as having antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. In practical aquarium use, walnut leaves are intended to support shrimp vitality, normal immune function and stable biological conditions in the tank.
100% walnut leaves
The formulation contains only gently processed walnut leaves.
There are no fillers, preservatives or other chemical additives. This makes the product suitable for keepers who prefer a simple ingredient list and want to add natural plant material to a varied feeding routine.
Supports dietary variety and aquarium biology
Walnut Sticks are intended as an occasional complementary feed rather than a complete everyday diet.
The humic substances naturally present in walnut leaves may also contribute positively to the aquarium environment. This makes the sticks useful not only as a food source, but also as a natural addition to a shrimp-focused aquarium.
Balanced texture for grazing
The sticks are designed to soften at a controlled rate without breaking apart too quickly or remaining excessively hard.
Several shrimp can gather around the same portion and graze naturally. The stick format also makes portioning more predictable than loose leaves.
Feeding recommendation
Feed approximately 1 cm of stick for every 20 adult shrimp every 1–2 days, alternating with other complementary GARNELEN4YOU® foods.
Walnut Sticks can occasionally be offered instead of one regular main feeding at the same approximate dosage. However, they should not permanently replace Carny Sticks, Planty Sticks or the appropriate GARNELEN4YOU® main-food rotation.
Adjust the amount according to:
colony size;
shrimp size;
available biofilm;
the number of snails;
how quickly the previous portion was consumed.
Feed only as much as the animals are likely to consume, and remove any remaining food after no more than two days.
Suitable for
Neocaridina shrimp
Caridina shrimp
Crayfish
Aquarium snails
